Why is independence important?

MFS have been working with New Zealand Businesses and Government agencies for over 15 years. We are experts in the field of vehicle fleet consultancy and are of the belief we are the only truly independent fleet consultancy in the country that has the expertise and experience that we have. We have no affiliation to any one manufacturer, lease or finance company and our pricing structure is transparent and robust. We have worked diligently over the past 15 years to build this independence and we protect it fiercely.

As we are a dedicated Independent Fleet Consultancy we have no underlying motives to structure fleet reports to generate additional business for our company. We set the scope of work, price according to that scope and carry out the work with the client’s best interest in mind. Our clients can have peace of mind that our fleet review process is transparent, robust, uninfluenced and truly independent due to the fact we do not sell fleet management services, we work will all manufacturers, finance and lease companies, we do not sell GPS products and we do not align to any one fuel company. Our company policy is to accept absolutely no brokerage fees or inducements. Our income is derived from the client only. We have found this to be the only way to maintain total independence.

Maximum Fleet Solutions (MFS) is proudly New Zealand owned and operated and specialises in Fleet Consultancy. Utilising over 50 years motor industry experience MFS can work with you to ensure your fleet is operating at its optimal level.

Karl Watson - Senior Principal Consultant

Owner and Principal Consultant Karl Watson has vast knowledge of all aspects of the motor industry. An A-Grade qualified Automotive Engineer, Karl's journey in the motor industry has seen him in roles, both here and overseas including Lead Mechanic, Service Advisor, Service Manager, Group Service Manager , General Manager Aftersales and Marketing and right through to Dealer Principal.
​
Karl takes a hands on role with all fleet reviews and audits engaging with stakeholders to get an accurate indication of where your fleet is at. He is equally comfortable presenting findings to Directors and Executive Leadership Teams.
​
In his role of Senior Principal Consultant, Karl facilitates our Fleet Management Mentoring Programme.

Max Pennington - Senior Consultant
​
Max lives and breathes the fleet industry and brings over thirty years of experience to the table. He is a former co-owner of MFS and enjoys nothing more than dissecting a client’s fleet to find efficiencies.
Max has been heavily involved in motor vehicle dealerships and franchises and brings invaluable insight into the internal workings of the New Zealand vehicle manufacturers, as well as the motor vehicle supply-chain.

Julianne Watson - Administration Support - COVID Advice

Julianne (Jules) provides administration support to the consultants and our clients for our larger projects. A Registered Nurse, Jules moved to Practice Management for many years which honed her eye for detail and superior customer support.
Jules is our COVID 19 response expert for all matters relating to working within COVID guidelines and protocols
